Lab of Life: Transforming your Classroom to Model Lifelong Learning

A Session by Malka Schwarzmer Lab of Life

The session will provide teachers with a transformative way to use informal and formal assessments, grading policies, and teaching techniques to model lifelong learning. The scientific process, experimentation, and grades as data provide a great way to model and teach real life skills. I will show you how to set up a few key practices in your classroom that will nurture and develop self-awareness and the growth mindset. It will help your students see not knowing as an opportunity to learn and failure as an opportunity to try again at success. It will help them become more self aware and reduce the fear of “not knowing.”
